On October 7, 2023, Sri K. Chakravarthi, Chairman of SSSGC, visited the Sri Sathya Sai Bagmati Garden in Kathmandu. Under the initiative of Go Green Unit (GGU) of SSSSON, an Inter Faith Stupa was constructed with a garden on one acre land acquired from government along the holy river, Bagmati. The garden provides a relaxing place for people amidst the city’s concrete jungle. The sight is especially breathtaking at night when the stupa lights are illuminated. The garden is maintained by Sai volunteers.
On the same day, Sri K. Chakravarthi, Chairman, SSSGC flew to Chitwan where he was received warmly by the state office bearers of SSSSON. He inaugurated the newly constructed SSS Health Centre at Narayanghat. As the customary first person, he was examined by the consultant physicians who found the tests negative.
Later that afternoon, he visited Sri Sathya Sai Patient’s Rest House, annexed to SSS Centre Narayanghat. This house is similar to the one in Kathmandu. The house offers shelter, food, medication, etc to patients of rural areas who are referred for advanced treatment in the city.
Later, he addressed at the SSS Centre Narayanghat a large gathering of devotees who had congregated in chartered buses from far off places to listen to him. The program came to an end with aarati by Sri Chakravarthi to Bhagawan Baba.
