2026 marks one hundred years since the advent of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, as reckoned by the Vedic system of birth count. A hundred years of grace for the world, a milestone that will not come again in our lifetime. To mark this centenary, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Nepal is organising the Yuwa Parthi Yatra 2026, Nepal’s pilgrimage of its youth to Prasanthi Nilayam, on 2nd and 3rd December 2026 at Sai Kulwant Hall, Bhagavan’s own home, and the spiritual heart of the Sai movement.
Organised by: Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Nepal
Event: Yuwa Parthi Yatra 2026
Dates: 2nd & 3rd December 2026
Venue: Sai Kulwant Hall, Prasanthi Nilayam
Theme: “100 Years of Grace: A Century of Responsibility”
The theme says it all. A hundred years of grace have been showered on us, often without our even realising it, and grace of this scale comes with a responsibility of its own. That responsibility now rests with us, and this December, the youth of Nepal will carry it to Prasanthi Nilayam, the very place where it all began. What makes this yatra different is that it is being planned and run by the youth themselves, for the youth, by the youth, of the youth. Every part of the program, from the seva to the cultural events, has been designed by the youth wing as a way of learning by doing, guided throughout by the values Bhagavan lived and taught. The program brings together spiritual practice, service, and hands-on leadership experience, all in one.
Each day begins before sunrise with Omkaram, Suprabhatam and Nagarsankirtan, followed by a procession with Veda chanting and bhajans, traditional Newari instruments, trumpets and a multi-ethnic cultural show, marching from the stadium to Sai Kulwant Hall through the Sita Ram gate. After morning darshan and bhajans, the youth take up seva like cleaning bathrooms, drains and roadsides, weeding gardens and pruning hedges, caring for the very ground that has hosted generations of devotees.
The evenings bring their own programs: on the first day, a cultural program and drama on the Shyanme Water Project, a youth initiative from Nepal, followed by bhajans and satsang at Sai Hira Convention Centre. The second day brings the graduation of SSSYEP students and the felicitation of winners of the “Inspire – Compete – Excel” sports competition, both at Sai Kulwant Hall.
One of the things this year’s yatra hopes to do differently is to bring along people who are not yet part of the Sai family. Every participant is encouraged to bring a friend, someone from outside the organisation, who may simply be curious or looking for something more. The idea is simple: one friend reaching out to another, so that more young people get the chance to experience Prasanthi for themselves, perhaps for the first time. Preparations are already underway across Nepal, with pre-yatra seminars in every state and committees set up to manage registration, travel, seva, sports and culture. Around 2,000 young participants are expected to take part from across the country.
A hundred years ago, Bhagavan came to help every human being recognise the divinity within. That purpose has not changed, only the responsibility has passed on to us: to receive a hundred years of grace, and to respond to it with our share of responsibility, starting now. If not now, when? The Yuwa Parthi Yatra 2026 is an open door, and all that is needed is the willingness to walk through it.
A preparatory meeting was held at Tokha, Kathmandu, Jestha 2 with all state-level youth coordinators (planning and formation of committees), and Jestha 3 with youth coordinators and active youth from Bagmati Province State-level pre-yatra seminars are being organised in all states. For instance: a Youth Fest for State 3A is scheduled for Asar 6, from 8 AM onwards at Little Angels School, Hattiban, featuring music, sports, youth interaction, fun stalls and more.
Each Sai youth is encouraged to reach out to one friend from outside the organisation every month, so that more people get a chance to be part of this yatra. Every participant is encouraged to bring one friend from outside the organisation along with them.
