Mahashivaratri is one occasion that attracts millions of devotees from all over the world of which
pilgrims from neighboring districts of India constitute a good number. As in the past, this year
too, about twenty lakhs devotees are estimated to have had darshan of sanctum sanctorum of
Pashupatinath temple. Having come from diverse warm climatic conditions to biting cold of
Kathmandu, many devotees fall sick.
Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Nepal, always on its toes looking for seva opportunities, grabs
this and organizes every year a medical camp at the premises of Pashupatinath temple. This year
too, such a Medical Camp and Blood Donation Program was organized on 18 th Feb 2023.
Altogether 162 patients received loving medical care with medicines in the camp. Back to back
with it, blood donation camp, organized with the technical support from Nepal Red Cross,
collected 7 pints of blood. The camp, started with the Omkaram and Veda Chanting, came to
conclusion with Mangal Aarati to the Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
