One of the unique features of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Nepal (SSSSON) is that it regularly organizes Seva Sadhana Camp at the construction site of the seva projects. Devotees especially the young and adults spend days at such sites and donate their labour. Main advantage of such a camp is that it reinforces among the sevadals the feeling of Seva as the Highest Spiritual Sadhana. Secondly, it generates very positive vibes among the local people. There have been instances in the past that seeing SSSO Sevadals in uniform working selflessly, local people have joined.
One such residential Seva Sadhana Camp of youths was organized at the construction site of SSS School Pokhara from 14 – 16 April, 2022. About 60 youths from across the country joined and conducted service activities in the site. A typical day started with Omkaram, Nagarsankirtan, Bhajan, Seva Activities, evening Bhajan, and concluded with Satsang. Back to back with it, one Ophthalmic and ENT medical camp was also conducted. A total of 276 patients received medical services from a team of Physicians, Ophthalmic Consultant, ENT Consultant, Ophthalmic Assistants, Staff Nurses, Technical Assistants and Pharmacist. Needy patients were provided with 126 reading glasses as well. Four patients identified as having advance cataracts were also referred for pre-operative evaluation for surgery. All the patients were served with food and medicines. The camp started with the Omkaram and Veda Chanting and came to conclusion with Mangal Aarati to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
