The Sri Sathya Sai Bal Ashram Bharatpur was established in Bharatpur, Chitwan in 2010 by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Nepal during the eighty-fifth birth year of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It was established with the following objectives:

  • To provide food, clothing, and shelter to orphaned children;
  • To provide them education;
  • To provide them with necessary medical services;
  • To inculcate in them human values in line with the philosophy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and also to encourage them to participate in the spiritual activities;
  • To rehabilitate those children who have completed their studies or have grown beyond the age limit of the ashram.
  • The day to day affairs of the Ashram are overseen by a working committee constructed under the regulations framed by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Nepal.

Seventeen female children are currently (2015) residing at the ashram.
